ViRobot Management Server (VMS) is an anti-virus management
program designed to protect valuable data in a network environment.
It prevents computer viruses or malicious codes from sneaking into
the company systems and monitors the clients' status 24 hours a day.
VMS has numerous innovative management features that can save the IT
administrator valuable time and resources in implementing and
administering effective anti-virus protection system in the network
environment.
VMS SiteServer Consisting of
a console and daemon, this is a module for server to extract reports
from the clients and to deliver latest virus definition and program
update files to the clients. SiteServer console displays analysis of
virus infection and provides management functions for controlling
clients' machines. SiteServer daemon runs on the server and gathers
data from the clients.
VMS Client VMS Client is
install on the clients' machine to protect them against viruses. It
contains anti-virus program and instant messaging functions. VMS
Client connects to the server regularly and sends information about
the system status to the SiteServer.
Fast Software
Distribution SiteServer Daemon
automatically provides the latest virus definition files to the
clients by constantly checking the version of their definition
files. VMS SiteServer controls the status of the anti-virus software
on every client.
Software/Hardware Properties
Checks VMS can control all clients' hardware and
software properties. This will assist the administrator in
maintaining good control over the system.
Tracks Infection Path And Provides Analysis
Tool When a virus is detected, VMS will track the
infection route so as to locate the source of the infection. It can
confine the analysis to one particular client or over the entire
network. Report format like bar, pie or graph chart are
supported.
Maintains Integrity Of All Clients VMS monitors the
status of every client and ensures that ViRobot is functioning well.
Clients will communicate with VMS Server to ensure that they have
the latest anti-virus definition files. They will automatically
update themselves from the VMS server if the files are not
up-to-date.
Highly Scalable Each VMS
Agent Server can support up to 1000 site clients. Several Agent
Servers can link up to a Master VMS Server to provide anti-virus
management solution to at least 5000 site clients, depending on the
requirement and bandwidth.
